VoiceThread

This week I got to learn about a tool called VocieThread. VoiceThread is an online tool which basically allows you to collaborate with others. It is a new way of experiencing and exchanging one’s opinions’ of various topics. There are many ways within the tool in which you can communicate with others and they are: audio, video, commenting, phone and uploading your comments.  I think this tool is very unique and before this class, I had never even heard of it and if it wasn’t for this class I probably wouldn’t.
While going through the various ways of contributing your opinions, I noticed the video call or voice call—these are good ways if it’s not a big group because like me, many people would be uncomfortable to speak to random people. So for us to only comment this week was a great way to experience the tool.  We got to work on a particular thread  this week which is shown below.
This thread was about digital rights and responsibility and we got to comment our thoughts on what we thought was okay and not okay in certain situations. Before I got to commenting, I did get lost for a minute. I had to figure out how it works. It didn’t take me long and it wasn’t that hard so I would definitely recommend it to everyone. I think it is am amazing tool and I would definitely add it in my PLE under collaborate and connect.
A great thing about this tool is that it doesn’t limit you to how much you can write. When it comes to opinions, sometimes people have a lot to say, so unlike Twitter, you are not restricted to a certain amount of characteristics.
